This phone number will bring you to a professional or to a mental health crisis counselor. They will assess the risk of the situation and decide the appropriate response and if a mobile response is necessary.
Per El Paso County Public Health:
- If a Mobile Crisis Response Team is required then their goal is to come within one hour if the situation is in Colorado Springs and if it is outside of Colorado Springs then their goal is to arrive within 2 hours.
- If the Mobile Crisis Response Team is not necessary, and callers are in Colorado Springs, they can request the Community Response team, which is made up of members of the fire department, police department and Diversus Health.

If you or someone you know is showing signs of a mental health crisis, emotional distress, or appears suicidal, contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Trained professionals are available 24/7 and the calls are confidential and toll-free. They will be able to provide mental health crisis counseling and referrals.

SAMHSA’s National Helpline is a crisis resource offering free treatment referral and information for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders. It is available in both English and Spanish. The confidential helpline is available at all times and provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.

The SAMHSA Treatment Referral Helpline is available to speak to a live person Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. These professionals will help you get general information on mental health and locate available local crisis resources.
