Walk-in Mental Health Assessment

If this is not an emergency and you would like to have a mental health assessment in our clinic as soon as possible, walk-ins are accepted between 9:00 -11:00 a.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at our Colorado Springs office: 3720 Sinton Rd., Suite 104, Colorado Springs, CO 80907

Our walk-in mental health clinic is here for you to be evaluated and to create a plan for treatment. At Mentally STRONG we provide a full mental health assessment, foundational mental & behavioral health treatment, medication management, and then refer you to other partners for specialty treatment. Please note, that psycho-educational counseling is not offered as part of our walk-in services.

The Mentally STRONG Method is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and was created by founder Dr. Cristi Bundukamara Ed.D, PMHNP-BC. Dr. B. She has been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 20 years and currently manages her own practice in Colorado Springs. She created the Mentally STRONG Method to help herself overcome some of the most difficult experiences of her personal life and is dedicated to helping others do the same.

Over the years, the caring Mentally STRONG team has conducted mental health assessments working with many clients who experience frequent feelings of stress, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem struggle to control how they interpret and deal with negative things in their environment. This type of thinking can often result in even more negative emotions and behaviors, leaving the patient feeling disempowered.

The team’s goal is to help them develop new skills and behaviors that are productive and geared toward obtaining their desired goals. The Mentally STRONG Method draws on various aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to teach you how to identify and challenge self-defeating thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so you can live a happier life.
