We offer a wide variety of ways to address your mental health needs. We provide psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, medication management, genetic testing, Spravato and much more. See below for additional information on our comprehensive mental health services, which include walk-in appointments.

Mentally STRONG can help you:

  • Develop effective coping mechanisms and communication skills
  • Identify your triggers and learn how to manage your emotions
  • Support your children’s emotional and physical development
  • Receive a psychiatric evaluation, treatment and diagnosis
  • Enroll in professional life coaching and counseling sessions
  • Learn practical self-help methods, gain insight and confidence

Psychiatric Assessments: A comprehensive mental health history and review of current symptoms with a diagnostic evaluation and discussion on treatment options.

Treatment Planning: Includes a cognitive-behavioral psychoeducational intervention.

The Mentally STRONG Method Cognitive-Behavioral Approach: Our signature program was developed by Mentally STRONG founder Dr. Cristi Bundukamara which is used in the office. You are taught the process to empower yourself. The cognitive piece includes a thought map and identifying and organizing your thoughts and the behavioral piece includes learning how to make choices that move you closer to your personal visions.

Medication Management: As part of our comprehensive mental health services, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners are licensed to prescribe all medication in the psychopharmacology class, including, but not limited to, anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers, ADHD medication for insomnia and more. Although we prescribe controlled substances, we are conservative in our prescribing practices. Our providers prescribe based on the research of Dr. Stephen Stahl and his Master Psychopharmacology Program using symptoms and receptors rather than clusters of symptoms.

Genetic Testing: We offer genetic testing, which is covered by some insurance plans, as a starting point of how your body may process certain psychopharmacologic medications.

SPRAVATO: A prescription medicine, used along with anti-depressants, to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD), including suicidal thoughts or actions.

Long-Acting Injectables: Our board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can prescribe and administer various long-acting injectables for certain diagnoses, such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar I which can help relieve the stress of needing to remember to take a pill every day.

Special Needs Populations: We are sensitive to and understanding of the special needs of individuals in our community.

Frequent Follow-Up Appointments: Our board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners understand that it can be intimidating to start a new treatment plan. We want our comprehensive mental health services to be accessible to you during the stabilization period and will see you as often as necessary until you are comfortable on a new medication.

Walk-ins Accepted*: Access to comprehensive mental health services can be daunting and is a problem in this country. If you urgently need an assessment within business hours, please come to the office and we will be happy to make sure you’re seen.
