Treatment Planning

A cognitive-behavioral psychoeducational intervention is offered as part of our treatment planning.

Medication Management

As part of our youth mental health services, our board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners are all licensed to prescribe any medication in the psychopharmacology class, which includes anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, anti-anxiety, ADHD medication for insomnia, mood stabilizers, and more. Our providers are conservative in their prescribing practices and prescribe medication based on the research of Dr. Stephen Stahl and his Master Psychopharmacology Program, which uses symptoms and receptors rather than clusters of symptoms.

Genetic Testing

We offer genetic testing as part of our youth mental health services in Colorado Springs. This procedure acts as a starting point of how your child’s body may process certain psychopharmacologic medications, and it is convered by many insurance plans.

Special Needs Populations

We are sensitive to and understanding of the special needs of children in our community.

Pediatric Psychiatric Assessments

Full comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral assessments and referral for full neuropsychiatric exams, if needed.

  • Autism screening and referral, when appropriate
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment, diagnosis and treatment
  • Depression and anxiety disorder assessments and treatment
  • 504 and IEP accommodations for school
The Mentally STRONG Method Cognitive-Behavioral Approach

We use our signature program as part of our youth mental health services to help create confidence and build resiliency in your child. The cognitive piece includes a thought map to help identify and organize your child’s thoughts, and a behavioral piece to help them begin to learn how to think, organize, and choose for themselves.
