Raising Mentally STRONG Kids
According to the 2022 State of Mental Health in America report, a growing percentage of youth in the U.S. live with major depression. 15.08% of youth experienced a major depressive episode in the past year, a 1.24% increase from last year’s dataset. In the bottom-ranked states, up to 19% of youth ages 12-17 experienced major depression.
Colorado was ranked 42nd in the country for pediatric mental health in terms of prevalence and access to care, causing Jena Hausmann, CEO of Children’s Hospital Colorado, to declare a “State of Emergency” in youth mental health.

“The content in the Raising Mentally STRONG Kids course is very helpful and insightful! I love the positive and realistic words part of the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. module and plan to use this with my daughter. Dr. B uses her own experiences as examples throughout the course which helps her feel more approachable and relatable. Overall, I found it to be encouraging and pleasant to listen to!” -Marti Willett, CP of People & Culture
